Forex — leverage by account equity
Forex leverage is tiered by your account equity. The more capital on the account, the lower the maximum leverage — a standard risk guardrail.

XAUUSD leverage by notional value
Gold leverage is tiered by the notional value of your position, not your equity. You get up to 1:3000 on the first $40,000, and larger positions step down tier by tier.

The XAUUSD leverage tiers above apply to MetaTrader 5 (MT5) accounts only.
Margin is calculated progressively based on the notional value of the position. Each portion of the notional value is subject to the leverage applicable to its respective tier. For example, for a position with a notional value of $100,000, the first $40,000 is calculated at 1:3000 leverage, while the remaining $60,000 is calculated at 1:2000 leverage.
During periods of high-impact economic news and over the weekend, the maximum leverage for XAUUSD may be temporarily reduced to 1:200 as a risk-management measure. The weekend cap applies from one hour before the Friday market close until the start of the Monday trading session at 02:00 EET. The reduced leverage applies to positions opened during the applicable period; existing positions remain unaffected. Once the temporary leverage restriction is lifted, the margin requirement for affected positions will be automatically recalculated based on the applicable leverage.

Weekend leverage
Forex leverage is reduced to 1:500 over the weekend as a risk-management measure. The weekend cap activates one hour before Friday's market close and lifts at the start of the Monday session at 02:00 EET.
